WSU DAISY Lab Science Outreach
Summer 2023—Science Olympiad National Tournament participants visited the WSU DAISY lab to learn about the use of Drosophila for research in the Biological Sciences.
Fall 2024—DAISY Lab members visited the Christa McAuliffe Academy to work with sixth grade students as they learn the Drosophila life cycle as part of their genetics module. Students watched the life cycle of the fruit fly using wearable magnifying glasses and microscopes.
Raj’s outreach efforts—via the Life Science Commons portal—are directed at sharing his science with a broad audience.
